Macy’s
is proud to offer only the highest quality coffee: Arabica
hard bean varieties of Grade 1, organic and estate coffee
prepared to European standards. For exceptional flavor we
roast our beans almost every day. We’ve been buying
our green coffee beans from Erna Knutsen, of Knutsen Coffee
Ltd., for fifteen years. Erna travels the world looking
for the best coffee available. Macy’s is committed
to supporting small coffee growers and coffee growing cooperatives.
Many of these small farms cannot afford to obtain the “organic”
certification for their crops, although they grow their
beans by traditional methods. Macy’s buys these beans
from the non-certified growers in our efforts to support
smaller operations offering exceptional coffee. All of our
coffee beans are purchased from non-corporate enterprises.
